India’s policy establishment must not be led astray by Indian media celebrities like one who asserted last week that ‘China is militarily powerful to alter the territorial status quo’. China may be militarily powerful to do so temporarily but I would like to assert that “China is geopolitically WEAK in mid-2020” with glaring vulnerabilities.

China continued to stage a precariously tense situation against India till today by hugely amassing its soldiers and weapons over Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, thereby compelling New Delhi to follow suit in its own defence. It also reminds us of Chinese Betrayel in 1962.

With the main opposition Party- the Nepali Congress having agreed to endorse the amendment to the Constitution on Saturday the 30th, the Government registered the bill with the Parliament, the following day on the 31st of May.
Normally the Government can take a month’s time to publish the Bill in the Gazette but here it did it on the same day in the evening.

India should engage the Afghan Taliban only when they make two public official statements that Kashmir is an ‘Integral Part of India’ and secondly, that Afghan Taliban is committed to the creation of Greater Afghanistan incorporating Pashtun Areas of Pakistan’s borderlands.

The Law Ministry of Nepal has now registered with the Parliament Secretariat an amendment bill to Article 9 (2) of the 2015 Constitution substituting the new map that includes all the contested territories in the Kalapani area.

On 14th May, Pakistan signed a Rs 442 Billion (Pak. Rupees) contract for a joint venture with China Power and Frontier Works Organisation (FWC). The Pakistan Company FWC is a commercial arm of Pakistan Military.
This was gone through despite India’s objections in the past and was once again reiterated the next day.
